1. This character is not meant to have any bust. In fact, she's only 12 in the manga. During trial fittings this corset fit perfectly and covered up, but I recently started taking medication [aka. the pill]... and if you're a woman, you know what that shit does to you. The boning failed and I was left with boobage, which I hated. I had no time to re-make a corset, but in future, if I plan to re-do this outfit, I'll be making one that covers well.
2. The Xenosaga cosplay was INTENTIONALLY meant to be fleshy- it's an armour bikini, damnit.
3. Lilith has a small amount of boob and tummy, and that's it. I actually don't consider it raunchy in comparison to someone like Moxxi, for example. I don't even see her as a sex symbol, considering she's a character that you rarely see and connect to during the game since it's FPS, and she's a gun-toting badass. Even if you check out the Borderlands 2 shoot, there's only one picture that was taken for "fan-service", and it was done as more of a parody, imo.
When I say it's "not my style", I mean as in I like to pull off the character 'perfectly', or as close as possible. So what if other characters have a bit of flesh? Anatomy is anatomy. There should be no shame in it. But if it's not meant to be fleshy, then it's a costume not well-made, in my opinion.
